yes, we are gluten-free. completely. everything.

Every time someone walks in to the shop and asks us which flavors are gluten-free, we are so happy and proud to answer “the whole shop is gluten-free!”, as you can see the excitement in their faces when they find out all our gelato flavors and pastries are gluten-free, so you don’t even have to worry about cross-contamination as we only work with gluten-free flour inside our kitchen.

Our decision to be 100% dedicated gluten-free was because we both have friends or family that have an intolerance or allergy to gluten, and we know the care and thought they give to what they eat, especially when going out as they don’t know what goes behind the restaurants’ kitchens. We try to provide the same experience someone would have at any other ice cream shop when ordering any gelato or sorbetto flavor, and most importantly to give you the option to enjoy a gluten-free (and vegan!) waffle cone with no problem.

All gelato and sorbetto flavors have no gluten ingredients in their recipes, even when we make flavors such as Cookies n’ Cream, Cheesecake and Tiramisu: we bake our own chocolate cookies, graham crackers and savoiardi (ladyfingers) biscuits, so we make sure they are gluten-free and made with that extra love being homemade.

And that’s not all because we also have homemade desserts: brownies, cheesecake, cookies, tiramisu and even Sicilian cannolis, all gluten-free! To be honest we really can't say if there are other places in LA where you can find gluten-free Sicilian cannoli.

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure to meet Erika Schlick, an advocate for all healthy and GF food and writer of The Trail to Health, a food blog that focuses on healthy eating, which we encourage to check out as she plans out City Guides for where to eat GF. You can find complete city guides in her blog with restaurants, bars, coffee shops and dessert options too. You can find our gelato shop mentioned on her Ultimate Local's Guide to Eating Gluten Free in Los Angeles.

And, in case you don’t know yet these apps, take a look at Find Me Gluten Free and Dedicated Gluten Free, they’re very helpful.
